Jane Dawson is a violinist and teacher who often plays in her maiden name, Jane Campbell. She led the Hampshire Youth Orchestra and played with the National Youth Orchestra of Great Britain before studying at the Royal College of Music in London. She was a member of the London Philharmonic Orchestra for many years, performing in many of the world’s great concert halls, and working with the leading conductors and soloists in concerts and recordings.
Anthony Dawson was a chorister in Canterbury Cathedral and then won scholarships to the King’s School, Canterbury and to St John’s College Cambridge where he was a tenor choral scholar under the legendary George Guest. He won a foundation scholarship to the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London where he completed his post-graduate studies before embarking on a career in singing, which began with Benjamin Britten’s English Opera Group and the BBC Singers.
The Coach House is set on Lossenham Lane in Newenden and overlooks the village cricket green with views accoss the local river Rother and the Rother Valley.
